How ApexOS works
Your AI assistants prepare the work. People make the calls. Here is how the two fit together.
Your day, in four steps
- 1Start at HomeSee what is waiting for you, what is due in the next two weeks and how each case is coming along.Open Home
- 2Decide in ApprovalsRead what an assistant prepared, then approve it, decline it or send it back with a note. Your name goes on every decision.Open Approvals
- 3Keep each case movingEvery case keeps its checklist, deadlines, questions for counsel, notes and documents together on one page.Open Cases
- 4Tune your AI teamSet how much each assistant does on its own, from 1 to 5, and lock any step that should always wait for you.Open the AI team
The five levels
Every assistant has a level. It decides which steps the assistant takes on its own and which wait for you. A step you lock always waits, whatever the level.
- Level 1: Always asksNothing happens without your OK.
- Level 2: Asks if riskySafe steps run on their own; anything risky waits for you.
- Level 3: Asks before big changesOnly changes that are hard to undo wait for you.
- Level 4: You review the resultEverything runs except what you locked; you review the result.
- Level 5: Owns the jobThe assistant owns the job end to end; one approval releases it.
Your name on every decision
The first time you approve, change or tick off something, ApexOS asks for your name and keeps it in this browser. Every decision after that is recorded under it. Change it at any time from your profile menu in the sidebar.
Words you will see
- Approval request
- An assistant asking a person to review something it wants to do, with what and why. Nothing is approved until someone approves it.
- Settlement agreement
- The signed master document of a case. It sets the terms your team works from. Values read from it are checked by a person before they go on the case record.
- Class member
- A person on the case’s class list. The list is the roster of people in the class, not a record of who made a claim.
- Claimant
- The person named as making a claim in a claim document. When that name does not match the class member the document points to, a person checks it.
- Claims register
- The record of every claim document and what became of it: accepted, a duplicate, set aside for a person to check, or an opt-out.
- Opt-out
- A class member’s request to be left out of the settlement. Opt-outs are kept apart from claims and get no claim number.
- Escalator
- A term that raises the settlement amount when a count, such as workweeks, goes past a set number.
- Leftover money
- What remains after payments, such as uncashed checks. The agreement names who receives it, often a charity or a public body.
- USPS address updates
- Postal Service notices that a class member moved or that mail could not be delivered. Your team reviews each batch before confirming it, and confirming changes no address on file.
